The Geierlay is located between the towns of Mörsdorf and Sosberg in the Hunsrück and is easily accessible – whether by car, bicycle, or public transport. On this page, you will find all the information about getting there, the parking spaces on site, and the walking path to the bridge.
There are three free parking spaces for coaches available at the bus turnaround "Ohspull". There are also accessible restrooms for visitors.
From the »Schinderhannes cycle path« at Kastellaun, southern roundabout, follow the signs towards Bell/Buch. From Treis-Karden, it can also be reached by bicycle via the »Dünnbachtal« (no paved road).
For visitors of the Geierlay suspension bridge, several parking spaces are available in and around Mörsdorf. Depending on the need, there are spaces for cars, motorhomes, and buses – some with direct access to hiking trails and the visitor center. Parking, especially on and along the access roads or their entrances, is prohibited and will be penalized.

The parking lot P 2 has been converted to barrier-free access and digital billing via license plate recognition - payment can be made via credit cards, debit cards, QR code on the internet, or via APP, e.g. EasyPark within 24 hours.
Cars incur a fee of € 15.00 for the first 5 hours, then € 1.00 per started hour.
Motorhomes incur a fee of € 20.00 for the first 12 hours, then € 1.00 per started hour. The price includes supply and disposal, fresh water, electricity, WiFi.
The use of the toilet facilities in the village and at Geierlay as well as the Geierlay suspension bridge itself is available free of charge
