The forest is not just green – it is a fascinating ecosystem with history and stories.
Nature and forest enthusiasts will discover the diverse forest world on a round trip from the visitor center over Rabenlay to the Nacker Fountain and back to Mörsdorf. Along the way, you will learn exciting things about forestry past and present: How did our ancestors use the forest? What modern methods are in use today?
You will learn more about hunting and wildlife – which animals are native, how do they survive in the forest? With a bit of luck and quiet steps, you will discover wildlife tracks. In addition, there are botanical specialities to discover: Which plants have become rare? Which are edible?
Thematically flexible: All topics that spark interest will be deepened if possible – whether forest ecology, sustainability, nature conservation, or practical forest knowledge.
